Tuflex India provides clients, engineers with high performance geomembranes and other components used extensively in the construction of waste management landfills and their engineered capping system.

Environmental standards in India require that for maximum chemical resistance geomembranes and other landfill components should be manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE)
 

Primary liner: Tuflex HDPE Geomambranes are primary liner which contain wastes and control the movement of associated leachates and gases in hazardous waste landfills. Tuflex Geomambranes with their flexibility, high degree of imperviousness and excellent chemical and biological resistance are ideal for lining of landfills.

Protection of liners: Tuflex needle punched non-woven geotextiles are used to protect geomembranes from puncture and abrasion. When placed directly against geomembrane, Tuflex Geotextile acts as a cushion and provides protection against mechanical damage induced by installation and static surcharge loads. These geotextiles also act as excellent filters and separators.

Leachate collection & leak detection sysetms: Traditional thick aggregate layers of leachate and gas colelction can be replaced by Tuflex Geocomposite drainage products.

A drainage net and geomembrane placed below the primary seal provide the basis for a leakage detection system and containment of any leachate which may leak through the primary liner should it be punctured.

Capping liner: Tuflex HDPE geomembranes are used as liners within capping layers where significant differential settlement can occur. These capping liner control the seepage of rainwater into the landfill and permit the collection and removal of landfill gas.

However, the section are of very complex nature & most landfills are adaptations of the above in varying degrees.
